Seattle rapper Sol has been globe trotting for the last several months. So far his travels have taken him to India, Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, now Brazil and he’s not done yet.
Sol was rising big time in local music scene before he left on his trip. The last time I saw him was at Sasquatch last year and the fans were going so crazy trying to get to the stage that he had to stop multiple times and tell the crowd to get back.
Yesterday Sol released a video for his new song “Sometime in April” that he recorded in South Africa. He ends the song by saying “I’ll be back in April, let somebody know” and that is fantastic news. I can’t wait to see what this guy does when he gets back. Should be fun to watch.
