JUNEAU, Alaska -- A naked man was struck by a vehicle Thursday night in Juneau.

Juneau police say they were called about a nude man wading through traffic at Egan Drive near the Sunny Point overpass. The accident, which is being classified as a hit-and-run, happened on the same street and occurred within a half hour of the initial report.

The man continued on foot after being hit and ended up at a residence on North Douglas Highway.

The man, only identified as a 28-year-old Juneau resident, was transported to a hospital after sustaining what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the man didn't appear intoxicated, but they don't know why he was naked. No clothes were found at the accident site. The investigation continues.
