Guns

Kids need more work, supervision

As a longtime, not very religious union member, I don't think any Washington state Republican politician would represent the likes of me. On the other hand, I have been a owner of firearms for over 50 years and I know that many liberal types are very afraid of guns. Many of the young guys who were responsible for the latest massacres were privileged, well- educated, upper-class kids. I would bet none of them ever mowed their own lawn or did much to help out around the house.

Many of them took weapons that didn't belong to them to carry out the killings. I guess people really should raise their kids better and be more responsible for their guns. I am retired now but when I was working, I spent nearly five years working in North Dakota. In that state nearly everybody was a hunter and fisherman and there were guns in every just about every house. I don't remember any gun violence in those years I was in North Dakota. Most of the kids there were too busy helping out to get in trouble. Their parents also showed them how to safely handle firearms in most cases.
