Report: Seahawks to hire Saints assistant Travis Jones as new D-line coach

A day after the Seahawks lost defensive line coach Todd Wash to Jacksonville, they are reportedly set to replace him with Travis Jones, who has spent the last five seasons as the assistant defensive line coach in New Orleans. Jason La Canfora first reported the news.

While Jones doesn't appear to have any background with Pete Carroll, he did coach with newly-hired defensive coordinator Dan Quinn for two seasons with the Miami Dolphins.

The team is expected to announce the hiring Wednesday.
