Everett vs. Portland: lineup notes, Lotz out

EVERETT

Forward lines:

Winquist-Hayer-Petryk

Leedahl-Bauml-Mappin

Soumelidis-Stadnyk-Sandhu

Skapski-Low-Aasman

Defensive pairings:

Cox-Mueller

Betker-Oslanski

Zipp-MacDonald

Starting goalie:

Cotton

Scratches: Nikkel, Grayson, Harrison, Murray, Adam, Lotz.

Notes: As if the Tips weren’t already dealing with enough on the injury front, now No. 1 goaltender Austin Lotz is added to the list. Lotz limped off the ice after practice was over Monday, and tonight he’s wearing a suit — as well as a boot on his left foot. Lotz being out means Daniel Cotton gets the start, and the Tips brought in 19-year-old Bryce Fink of the Seattle Totems to serve as the emergency back-up goaltender. Lotz joins forwards Ryan Harrison (concussion) and Lucas Grayson (lower body) and defensemen Ryan Murray (shoulder), Austin Adam (concussion) and Ayrton Nikkel (finger) on the injured list. The missing defensemen means Landon Oslanski switches back from winger to defense.

PORTLAND

Forward lines:

Leipsic-Petan-Rattie

Bittner-De Leo-Bjorkstrand

De Champlain-Peters-Leier

Baker-Kopeck-Mahon

Defensive pairings:

Wotherspoon-Jones

MacPherson-Rutkowski

Vorobev-Hanson

Starting goalie:

Burke

Scratches: Iverson, Turgeon, Pouliot.

Notes: Portland is without puck-rushing defenseman Derrick Pouliot because of a lower-body injury. Center Keegan Iverson serves the final game of a four-game suspension for a checking-to-the-head major penalty taken against Spokane on Jan. 21. Winterhawks back-up netminder Brendan Burke starts for the seventh time in eight games against Everett this season.
