MONROE — A man found dead in east Snohomish County on Saturday has been identified as James P. Hill, 68, of Monroe.
Hill’s body was found near a burned-out vehicle on property in the 7300 block of Woods Creek Road, between Monroe and Lake Roesiger, according to police. He appears to have lived in the neighborhood.
Snohomish County sheriff’s Major Crimes detectives are investigating the case as a suspicious death. Detectives on Tuesday released no additional details.
Hill’s cause of death remains under investigation by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
County property records show Hill owned a home in the area where he was found.
Police say his death is not connected to an ongoing Marysville police homicide investigation in which the victim’s burned-out vehicle also was found in rural Snohomish County over the weekend.
