LAKE STEVENS — A suspected burglar caught on surveillance video breaking into a home near Lake Stevens earlier this month was arrested Saturday.
The man, 25, has no listed address, documents show. He was identified by investigators after a Snohomish County corrections deputy reportedly recognized his picture.
Police allege that the man on Jan. 9 broke into a home in the 4400 block of 95th Avenue NE, just north of Highway 92. He reportedly took video game systems, a computer, prescription medication, cash and two cartons of cigarettes.
The victim had a surveillance camera system posted at her home, which showed part of the burglary. The video was shared on social media in hopes of generating tips.
The man was arrested in Everett this weekend after an officer spotted him leaving a “known drug house,” court papers show. He reportedly was carrying an illegal knife.
The man also was wanted for failure to register as a sex offender.
He was convicted in 2005 for communicating with a minor for immoral purposes in Snohomish County. He also has a conviction for vehicle theft.
