A day after losing defensive line coach Todd Wash to Jacksonville, the Seattle Seahawks reportedly have found his replacement.
Travis Jones, who has spent the last five seasons as an assistant defensive line coach in New Orleans, has been tabbed as the man to replace Wash, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports. The Seahawks are expected to announce the move today.
While Jones does not have a background with Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll, he did spend two seasons on the Miami Dolphins’ staff with Dan Quinn, who earlier this month was hired as defensive coordinator to replace Gus Bradley.
Giacomini has surgery
The Seahawks announced that right tackle Breno Giacomini underwent successful arthroscopic surgery Tuesday on his right elbow. Recovery time for the surgery is expected to be four to six weeks.
