Please, don't let it be

Get back to where you once belonged: The former London headquarters of The Beatles -- home office of Apple Records and the site of the Fab Four's famous rooftop performance -- may soon become an Abercrombie & Fitch store.

John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr all rolled in their graves, until Ringo googled himself and learned he wasn't dead yet.

The Dude abides and has submitted his resume: As it prepares to enter the marijuana business, Washington state announced it is looking for someone to advise officials on a host of related issues. A state official said they can handle licensing and regulation questions, but "there are some technical aspects ... we could use a consultant to help us with."

You know, like: How to keep a bong lit; best places to keep one's stash; proper toking etiquette; and Cheetos vs. Doritos.

--

Hookah crooks: Police in Lincoln, Neb., responding to a report of the theft of two hookah pipes, found a marijuana-growing operation in a house, complete with plants, fertilizer, grow lights and other equipment. Police arrested a 19-year-old man for manufacturing marijuana and ticketed roommates for pot paraphernalia.

Along with the citations, all were handed applications for the job as Washington state pot czar.
