Several cities around Snohomish County are planning father-daughter dances just in time for Valentine's Day.

The popular events allow daughters and their fathers -- or big brothers, grandfathers or other male role models -- to dress up and enjoy a special night out.

Here are the dances:

Fathers and daughters of all ages are invited. Cost is $20 per couple, and $5 each additional daughter attending the same dance.

Registration is required; go to www.marysvillewa.gov or call 360-363-8400.

In Edmonds, daddies and daughters are invited to dress up, dance and enjoy refreshments from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Edmonds Senior Center ballroom, 220 Railroad Ave.

All ages are welcome. Bring your camera for a photo.

Registration is required. Cost is $25 per couple and $5 for each additional daughter. Call 425-771-0230.

In Everett, the dance is scheduled for 6-8:30 p.m. Feb. 8 and again on Feb. 9 in Floral Hall at Forest Park, 802 E. Mukilteo Blvd.

Dance to music provided by deejay PJ Parsons, enjoy refreshments and pose for a commemorative picture. All are included in admission: $25 per daddy-daughter pair and $6 for each additional daughter.

Reservations are required: call 425-257-8300, ext. 2 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays.
