Prep girls basketball: Tulalip Heritage 59, Highland Christian 31

TULALIP -- After scoring 23 points in the first half, Tulalip Heritage erupted for 24 points in the third quarter to cruise to a victory in the opening round of the 1B District Tournament. Katia Brown and Adiya Jones-Smith each had 21 points for the Hawks, while Highland Christian's Chloe Brown scored 20. Tulalip Heritage advances to play Shoreline Christian on Feb. 6, while Highland Christian will play Lopez in a loser out game on Tuesday.
