Annual aerospace conference next week in Lynnwood

Next week, Gov. Jay Inslee will join representatives of Boeing and Airbus and aviation analysts at a conference in Lynnwood to discuss the coming year in the aerospace industry.
Inslee will address participants of the Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance's annual conference, which runs Feb. 12-14 at the Lynnwood Convention Center. Sworn in last month, Inslee will give the keynote address at the Feb. 13 conference dinner.
"This is an excellent opportunity for the aerospace community to hear from (Inslee) about his vision for Washington's aerospace industry," said John Graham, who serves as the aerospace alliance's board secretary.
This is the 12th year that PNAA has hosted an aerospace conference.
Randy Tinseth, vice president of marketing for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, will provide the company's perspective on the commercial airplane market. And John Lunardi, director of supplier quality, will discuss Boeing's expectations of the global supply chain.
Airbus officials will give an update of the European jet maker's programs. They also will talk about their new manufacturing site in Mobile, Ala., where workers will build single-aisle A320 jets.
Industry analysts, including the Teal Group's Richard Aboulafia and Leeham Co.'s Scott Hamilton, will weigh in on what 2013 will bring to the global and local aerospace industry.
The event wraps up Feb. 14 with a supplier fair, which enables representatives of small to mid-sized suppliers to meet with officials from large aerospace companies.
"The 2013 conference will feature a broad range of attendees not only from the region but from Canada to Europe, providing attendees the opportunities to listen, learn and connect," Bill King, PNAA vice chairman, said in a statement.
