More than half of Facebook users decide to take a break from the social network at some point, according to a new study by the Pew Research Center's Internet and American Life Project.
The hiatuses typically last about two weeks, which is just barely enough time to relearn the basics of how to carry on a face-to-face conversation with another human.
Vroom, vroom: Consumer Reports magazine says testing shows turbocharged engines may not deliver the extra horsepower and efficiency promised by automakers.
Obviously, the magazine's editors neglected a critical automotive performance step: sticking a half-dozen aftermarket tuner product decals on the test cars' back windows.
Their own private Idaho: A group of survivalists dreams of building a walled city in the Idaho Panhandle, where residents would be required to carry assault rifles and be ready at all times to defend their 50-pound sacks of rice in the event of societal collapse.
The Buzz can only assume the town also would make everyone paint their fortified bunkers a uniform shade of beige and park their camouflaged SUVs in the garage at night.
