Prep boys basketball: Mount Vernon 100, Kamiak 84

MOUNT VERNON -- Seth Jensen, Andrew Roozen and Kevin Hofstad scored a combined 81 points and 11 3-pointers, to lead Mount Vernon to a victory over Kamiak in a 4A District 1 Tournament game. Imaan Vicente led the Knights with 23 points in the loss. With the win the Bulldogs advance to play Jackson on Friday at 6 p.m. at Glacier Peak High School, while Kamiak hosts Lake Stevens Friday at 7 p.m. in a loser-out game.
