Pedestrian sought after being hit by car on I-5

EVERETT -- Police and troopers are searching for a man who was hit by a car as he ran across I-5 Thursday morning.
The driver was headed northbound around 8:45 a.m. and was just north of 128th Street when the pedestrian was struck.
A Lynnwood police dog was being used to look for the man, Washington State Patrol trooper Keith Leary said.
"We found a shoe and no other trace of him," Leary said.
The State Patrol also sent a plane over the area to look for the man, Leary said.
"The reason we are checking is to see if someone needs medical help," Leary said. "We want to check every nook and cranny."
The driver, whose gender was not immediately available, stopped immediately. The driver said the pedestrian might have been hit in the legs, Leary said.
