LYNNWOOD -- A Bothell woman, 42, suffered serious injuries Saturday after her car left the roadway and struck a tree near Lynnwood.

The crash happened about 5 p.m. near the 17800 block of North Road, near Lynnwood High School, said trooper Mark Francis with the Washington State Patrol.

The woman was northbound in a Mercedes passenger car when she overcorrected and left the roadway, Francis said. She suffered broken bones but is expected to survive.

The woman was being taken via ambulance to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
