Windermere Real Estate in Mukilteo has hired Jeana McDonald. Most recently a vice president with EMB Management in Bellevue, McDonald spent 20 years at MacPherson’s Real Estate. She is a Lynnwood native and lives in South Everett.

Nils Bajczuk has joined Mountain Pacific Bank as senior vice president, commercial market manager. He will be responsible for commercial lending in south Snohomish County and will be based in the bank’s Lynnwood branch. Bajczuk is an experienced commercial lender and began his career with City Bank in Lynnwood. Most recently, he was vice president and commercial team leader at Whidbey Island Bank. Bajczuk’s commercial lending team includes credit analyst Britni Babington and senior loan assistant Linda Stinnett,

Mountain Pacific Bank has appointed Mimi MacDonald to be senior vice president and senior credit officer. MacDonald will work in Everett and will have responsibility for credit administration. She has held positions at First Interstate Bank and KeyBank. Most recently, she served as chief credit officer at First Sound Bank.

Sue Clark recently retired after a 27-year career at Gilpin Realty of Snohomish. Her friends and family honored her with a surprise retirement luncheon.

Bothell-based BioLife Solutions says that Rick Stewart, CEO of Kirkland-based Cardiac Dimensions, has joined the board of directors and has been appointed to the Audit Committee. Stewart replaces Howard Breslow, who resigned. Stewart also has served as CEO of Tegris Corp. and had a long career at Eli Lilly.

Kudos

Eric Newton, a member of the Lynnwood Convention Center food and beverage team, is the recipient of the Employee of the Quarter Award. He is the lead cook and stewarding supervisor.

John McKeon, CEO of McKeon Financial, has earned the No. 35 spot on the top-producers list, based on the highest levels of production, with his broker-dealer Independent Financial Group. IFG is based in San Diego and has approximately 500 representatives. McKeon has made the list four years running.

The National Catholic Educational Association has named Everett resident Millie Dooris Judge the 2013 Catholic Elementary School Distinguished Graduate for outstanding personal and professional achievements. Judge was recently elected to the Superior Court of Snohomish County. She previously served as an administrative law judge for the Office of the Snohomish County Hearing Examiner.

Aviation Technical Services has received a 2012 Boeing Performance Excellence Award for work performed by its Component Services business unit in Everett.

Good deeds

The Arlington Community Food Bank has been awarded $2,247 from auto recycler Arlington Pick-n-Pull. Sue Keezer, president of the food bank, said many local residents will receive nutritious meals thanks to the Pick-n-Pull associates.

February marks the 37th anniversary of Klein Honda, the oldest family owned and operated Honda dealership in the Seattle metro area. To mark the milestone, Klein Honda will donate $100 for every vehicle sold in February to the Snohomish County chapter of the American Red Cross. Proceeds from the dealership’s annual charity golf tournament also benefit the organization.

Harris Ford Lincoln and the Mountlake Terrace High School Sports Booster Club recently helped raise $2,450 for the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle through Ford Motor Company’s Drive 4 UR Community program. Ford and Harris Ford Lincoln donated $20 for every new Ford and Lincoln vehicle test-driven at the school.

The Mill Creek City Council thanks Waste Management for a generous donation in support of the city’s free community events. Will Ibershof and Jeff McMahon, representing Waste Management, will present the City Council with a $10,000 check during their regular meeting Tuesday.

Classes, workshops, webinars

Clothes For Kids and the Lynnwood Chamber will partner in a Bowl-A-Thon from 5 to 7 p.m. on April 17 at the Lynnwood Bowl &Skate. All funds raised will directly benefit Clothes For Kids. SnoLEAF of Cascadia Green Building Council, in partnership with Snohomish County, has extended the registration deadline for the Big Green Greenhouse Design Competition to Feb.28. The jurors will include Eden Bruckman, Mark S. Buehrer, Tom Marseille, Richard V. Piacentini, Scott Schreffler and Mark Sindell.

Members interested in serving on the Greater Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce board of directors are asked to submit nominations to Caldie Rogers at caldie@marysvilletulalip chamber.com no later than Feb. 15. Terms will run from July 1 through June 30, 2016. Meetings are held on the third Friday of each month from 7:30 to 9 a.m.

ULTA Beauty celebrated the grand opening of its newest store Friday at the Everett Mall. ULTA Beauty carries more than 20,000 beauty products, 4,000 testers, 350 fragrances and more than 1,000 scents. The new 10,000-square-foot store includes a full-service salon.

The Edmonds Chamber of Commerce recently created a Young Professional Network to better serve young professionals in the community. The group meets monthly to network and meets quarterly to give back to the community.

Brien Ford is among the newest group of local Ford dealers certified to sell electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. In Snohomish County, other EV-certified dealers include Harris Ford in Lynnwood and Bickford Ford in Snohomish.

The state insurance commissioner’s office, which regulates the insurance industry, has launched a revamped website for consumers and industry professionals at www. insurance.wa.gov.

Coastal Financial Corp., the holding company for Coastal Community Bank, had a net income of $425,000 for the quarter ended Dec. 31, compared to $362,000 for the quarter the previous year. Capital ratios exceed regulatory requirements for a well capitalized financial institution with total risk-based capital at 12.38 percent.
