Peers raise money for classmate battling leukemia

Student officers with the Brier Terrace Middle School Technology Student Association presented a check for $614 to Becky Trepp, a representative from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, on Jan. 31.

Members of the club designed, manufactured and sold custom holiday ornaments as their fundraiser this year.

The TSA Club chose to donate to the Climbing for Carl team, who are doing the stair-climb at the Columbia Tower Center on March 24 to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Carl Hess was diagnosed with leukemia in June 2011. He is the son of Brier Terrace staff members James and Heidi Sullivan.

This elaborately carved French antique may be old, but it’s still capable of keeping its leavened contents perfectly fresh.
