South county fire authority check-ins, final roundup
Here's the final breakdown of who's still participating in talks about forming a regional fire authority in south Snohomish County. (See background here.)
Edmonds: Out
Lynnwood: Out.
Mountlake Terrace: In.
Woodway: Out.
Already reported: Fire District 1 and Brier are in. Fire District 7 and Mukilteo are out.
The central RFA planning committee, with representatives from all the agencies, met last week to talk about how to proceed now after the votes, RFA spokeswoman Leslie Hynes said.
You can read much of the plans and other related documents on the RFA planning website. Detailed staffing and finance info is provided, but keep in mind the plans were drawn up for all parties initially participating.
A lot of that likely will change before the RFA is expected to go on the ballot later this year.
