Prep girls basketball: Stanwood 47, Shorecrest 39

STANWOOD -- Stanwood went on a 14-1 run in the third quarter to eliminate the Scots from the 3A District 1 Tournament. Samantha Powell scored 13 points for the Spartans, while the Shorecrest's Annie Schlachter had 15 points. Stanwood will play Shorewood in a winner-to-regionals/loser-out game on Friday at 6 p.m. at Lynnwood High School.
