Socially conservative lawmakers in Olympia have introduced what they call the Family Second Chances Act, a bill that would extend the waiting period for divorces to one year from 90 days.
C'mon, guys -- one year's too long to sleep in the garage.
Dressing up the town: Up in Mount Vernon, the City Council may drop cross-dressing as restricted activity under its laws regulating adult businesses.
They might as well, since the law is openly flouted by kilt-clad men every summer during the annual Skagit Valley Highland Games.
Mature action: Some 25 years after the original "Die Hard," Bruce Willis returns today as John McClane in "A Good Day to Die Hard." In it, he joins forces with his son to battle a fresh crop of ponytailed Eurotrash villains.
In another 25 years, we can expect yet another sequel, "Die Hard, But Not During Matlock." In it, an aged but still game McClane shuffles into action when a bad guy lands a stolen jet on the roof of his nursing home. Catchphrase: "Yippee ki-yay, whippersnapper."
