Prep girls basketball: Darrington 36, Crosspoint Academy 34

DARRINGTON -- Crosspoint Academy's 3-point attempt from halfcourt rimmed out at the buzzer, giving Darrington the 36-34 victory over the Warriors in a 2B Bi-District semifinal game.

The Loggers were led offensively by Riley Anderson, who scored five of her 11 points in the fourth quarter.

"Riley was our go-to player tonight," said Darrington coach Jeff Anderson. "She was clutch all the way around."

With the win the Loggers clinch a spot at state and will advance to the district championship game to play either La Conner or Bear Creek at 6 p.m. on Saturday at Chief Leschi High School.
