Man struck by SUV on U.S. 2 dies in hospital

SEATTLE -- A cyclist struck by a sport utility vehicle along U.S. 2 in Monroe on Feb. 6 died Friday at a Seattle hospital.

The man was identified Tuesday as Jerry Dale Kline, 54, of Snohomish, according to a Washington State Patrol memo.

Kline was riding a bicycle east of Roosevelt Road about 12:30 a.m. when he was struck.

The SUV driver, 49, of Monroe, was arrested for investigation of DUI.

The accident remains under investigation.
