EVERETT -- An Everett woman whose Facebook page includes a photo with the caption "Barbie Bandits" has been booked into the Snohomish County Jail for a burglary spree.
The suspect, 25, and another woman are accused of breaking into a strip mall in the 5700 block of Evergreen Way the night of Feb. 10. An Everett District Court judge Wednesday found that police had established probable cause to arrest her; the other woman has not been booked into jail.
Police believe they broke into a business where the Everett woman once worked, as well as six neighboring suites. The businesses included a rental car dealership, a massage parlor, a gold shop and a thrift store.
Officers found stolen property from the burglaries at the woman's home and in her vehicle, court papers said.
Someone at the woman's apartment complex told an Everett detective that the pair "brag about being the 'Barbie Bandits,'" according to a search warrant.
The suspect's Facebook page shows a photo of two women. Both are wearing dark sweatshirts, jeans and sunglasses. A caption in pink cursive script reads "Barbie Bandits."
Police recovered several items that were believed to be stolen. They included two printers, paperwork, a laptop, DVDs and three vintage Barbie dolls.
They're also suspected of stealing a guitar, jewelry, several sets of car keys, safes, checks and paperwork with personal information.
Court papers indicate the Everett woman also is a suspect, with another person, in a burglary in unincorporated Snohomish County.
Deputies were called to the 12600 block of 75th Street SE near Snohomish on Feb. 12. A homeowner returned to find the Everett woman coming out the back door of the house carrying a pillow case full of jewelry and other items, according to sheriff's reports.
A deputy arrested the woman after he arrived in the area.
A police dog began tracking for evidence and found a second suspect, 23, who was hiding in some bushes not far from where the Everett woman was found.
