EVERETT — U.S. Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, who represents southwest Washington’s 3rd District, will be the guest speaker at the Snohomish County Republican Party’s annual Lincoln Day Dinner on Saturday.
Herrera Beutler is one of the youngest women currently serving in Congress. She is the first Hispanic in history to represent Washington state in the House and was named to MSNBC’s “Top 10 Latino Politicians to Watch.”
She serves on the Appropriations Committee, the Small Business Committee, Committee on Investigations, Oversight and Regulations as well as Subcommittee on Health Care and Technology.
Herrera Beultler has reintroduced a bill to cut salaries for Congress and for the White House by 10 percent.
The event begins with a silent auction and social time at 5:30 p.m. at the Comcast Arena in Everett, with the dinner program at 6:45 p.m.
