EVERETT -- An apparent road-rage incident in south Everett on Monday landed one man in jail for investigation of second-degree assault.

Police were called to the scene about 1:45 p.m. Monday in the 1800 block of 112th Street SE, near Silver Lake, according to the arrest report.

Two drivers got into some kind of disagreement and accused each other of driving poorly, court papers show.

The argument escalated, and one driver, an Everett man, 50, reportedly got out of his 2008 Kia Optima and attacked the other driver, a woman. He reportedly dragged her from her van and struck her in the head several times. She suffered loose teeth and several lumps on her head, according to police. Her daughter reportedly tried to stop the attack and was choked by the man.

The man was being held Tuesday at Snohomish County Jail.
