Washington Stealth forward Rhys Duch has been named NLL Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in his team’s 16-14 victory over West Division rival Calgary on Saturday.
Duch scored three goals and collected seven assists for a season-high 10 points.
The award is the seventh player of the week honor for a Stealth player this season. In Week 1, Cliff Smith (offensive), Mitch McMichael (transition) and Kyle Buchanan (rookie) won player of the week honors. In Week 2, Smith (offensive) was honored. And in Week 6 McMichael (transition) was tapped for the second time along with Stealth goaltender Tyler Richards (defensive).
Other NLL Player of the Week recipients this week were Minnesota’s Jordan MacIntosh and Kiel Matisz, who were named Transition Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively, and Philadelphia’s Brandon Miller, who was named Defensive Player of the Week.
The NLL player awards are determined by a weekly vote of the league’s general managers and head coaches.
