Did you ever wonder why speedometers on today's cars go up to 140 mph and higher, even on cars designed for high gas mileage, not high speeds?. The answer has to do with automakers' need to make the same speedometer work across their model lines, and, of course, good ol' fashioned marketing aimed at the male ego.

So gents, if you really believed your Nissan Versa could go 160 mph, sorry to burst your bubble.



Such a deal: Groupon Inc. fired CEO and founder Andrew Mason on Thursday, which can happen when your firm's stock price loses nearly 80 percent of its value in 18 months.

For his severance package, Mason's email inbox was flooded with coupons good for two-for-one Botox treatments.



Completely bankrupt: "Girls Gone Wild," which made a fortune selling videos of inebriated young women exposing themselves, has filed for bankruptcy in the wake of several court judgments against it.
