So far it has been a busy offseason for the Seattle Storm.
Two more roster changes were made within the past eight days. The Storm announced a week ago Wednesday that they had signed free-agent forward Nakia Sanford. Sanford most recently was with the Phoenix Mercury and averaged 4.1 points and 3.3 rebounds per game in 2012.
The New York Liberty also announced on Monday that they have signed free-agent guard Katie Smith, meaning that Smith will not return to the Storm for a third season.
In two seasons with the Storm, Smith averaged 7.1 points per game and she is the all-time leading scorer in women’s professional basketball (includes WNBA and ABL).
