MONROE -- Police are investigating a burglary reported Sunday afternoon in Monroe.

A woman called 911 about 3 a.m.* Sunday to report seeing three teenagers running from her garage in the 15400 block of Cedar Place SE, Monroe police spokeswoman Debbie Willis said.

The garage was unlocked. Someone had dumped paint, liquid soap and oil on Girl Scout cookies stored inside, Willis said. The garage was being used to store cookies for a local troop.

Damage was estimated at $2,000.

A police dog track was unsuccessful.
