Dog kissing booth raises money for shelter
Give a donation to benefit stray and unwanted animals, then pucker up for Rocky the Border Collie or RJ the Golden Retriever at the Puget Sound Pet Stop booth 294, Friday through Sunday at Comcast Arena.
They'll also be handing out free pet rescue stickers for animal owners to let firefighters know they have pets inside their home in an emergency.
Cash donations to the shelter help to provide treatment to sick and injured animals, reduced-cost spay and neuter surgeries for pets in low-income families, funding for community outreach and education programs for responsible pet ownership and other animal welfare services.
Want to do more? The shelter accepts donations — including high-quality wet or dry pet food without red food coloring, treats, kitten care, toys and other supplies — during business hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
