Front Porch: Chamber orchestra’s music of spring

Music of spring
Pacifica Chamber Orchestra presents its spring concert of selections, including Petite Symphonie, No.4 and No.5 by Milhaud, Pan Suite for 10 Winds and Double Bass by Brauer and Concerto Grosso, No. 2 by Bloch and with cello player Erika Pierson performing Arvo Part's "Fratres for Cello and Chamber Orchestra," which was featured in the 2007 movie, "There Will be Blood."
The performance is 3 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church, 2936 Rockefeller Ave., Everett. Tickets are $10 and $15 and available at or at the door. Call 425-743-0255 for concert details.
Arlington history: Author Richard Logg Sr. plans to give a presentation to the Stillaguamish Valley Genealogical Society from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Arlington Free Methodist Church, 730 E. Highland Drive, Arlington.
Logg will talk about the people from Arlington and the surrounding community. He has written two books, "One Fire, Many Flames" and "The Cream in the Neck of the Bottle," which include stories of local interest about people in the Arlington community.
This presentation is free with snacks and drinks available.

Edmonds meetings on TV: Edmonds City Council meetings will soon appear live on the city cable television channel.
The council meets the first, third and fourth Tuesdays of every month at 7 p.m. Delayed telecasts of the meetings that have been shown daily at noon and 7 p.m. will continue to be shown, but the number of delayed showings of the meetings may be reduced to make room for other programming.
The city cable television channel is Comcast channel 21 and Frontier Fios channel 39.
