MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — A Mountlake Terrace High School student was arrested and expelled Tuesday after an incident on campus.
Police were called to the school about 10:45 a.m. Tuesday after the man, 18, reportedly touched a classmate inappropriately.
School officials and police were told the man touched a female classmate’s shoulder and then tried to touch her breasts. She punched him before he made contact.
The man then allegedly barricaded himself in a classroom by pushing desks against the door.
Police allege he became hostile with them and resisted arrest. He also reportedly kicked a police sergeant in the thigh.
Police found a dagger with four-and-a-half inch blade in the man’s backpack.
He was booked into jail for investigation of third-degree and fourth-degree assault, and carrying a weapon on campus.
He also received an emergency expulsion, school district spokeswoman DJ Jakala said.
