Silver Lake searched after reports of missing person

EVERETT -- Police spent hours Friday afternoon combing Silver Lake in south Everett after reports of a person missing in the water.

The reports started about noon regarding an empty boat, Everett police officer Aaron Snell said. Police did recover a boat from the lake.

As of 5 p.m., they had not found anyone or confirmed that someone was in the water, Everett police Sgt. Ryan Dalberg said.

Crews remained on scene into Friday evening.
