SEATTLE -- One of the "greenest" buildings ever built will hold its grand opening on Earth Day, April 22, in Seattle.
The Bullitt Foundation headquarters is a model for environmental construction. Features include a composting toilet, a rooftop solar array and a system to use rainwater.
The Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce reported that the Bullitt Center contains no toxic materials, including PVC or formaldehyde. And it's the first heavy timber office building built in Seattle since the 1920s.
