Waste is our ongoing downfall

Now they are threatening a government shut down! We have already gone over the "fiscal cliff" which has left a lot of people suffering because of programs that were cut back or completely eliminated.
So, my question to Mr. Obama is why in the world are we sending military equipment to Egypt? Mr. Obama has ordered 20 new American made F-16 fighter jets and 200 new American made tanks to be sent to Egypt. This at a cost of billions of dollars to American taxpayers.
It is a well known fact that Israel is a sworn enemy of Egypt, and they most certainly are not an ally of the United States. That kind of equipment is not used for anything but war. When we, Americans, must tighten our belts and continually see our dollars shrink our government is spending our money on other countries war efforts.
We haven't even touched on what Obamacare and other of this administration's programs are going to cost the American people. Something must be done. Thank God we have a Congress who is holding the reins on some of this spending. We need to write to our government leaders and let them know that we do not approve of the wasteful spending they are doing.
