Pull on your wellies and head to the banks of the Tolt River at the Girl Scout Camp River Ranch March 30 to help Sound Salmon Solutions plant trees.
The Tolt River banks are eroding because of increased development and the loss of forestation, according to the agency’s website.
Trees provide shade, erosion and flood control, and a home for the bugs that salmon snack on.
The tree-planting takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Call 425-252-6686 to sign up and learn where to meet along the river.
