Arlington police detective Mike Phillips was named police officer of the year by the Arlington VFW Post 1561.
Phillips was given an award of appreciation at the March 18 City Council meeting, according to the city’s E-newsletter.
Here’s part of the blurb:
“Arlington VFW Post nominated Phillips among the 7 North Snohomish County Post nominees. Phillips won the Police Officer of the Year Award and received a plaque and a $100 check. Phillips has been with the APD since Dec. 1997 and been in the Investigations Unit since Jan. 2010.”
You can read the city newsletters online. There’s usually some public safety stuff in there.
