Local police don't have drones

Drones are hot right now, controversy-wise.

In Snohomish County, though, there's not much to say.

I asked around the big agencies last summer and again this week.

To my knowledge, no police agencies in the county have one, or plan to get one.

My guess is they're waiting to see how it pans out in other places.

Here are the larger local agencies confirmed without drones and without plans to change that:

Edmonds PD
Everett PD
Lake Stevens PD
Lynnwood PD
Marysville PD
Monroe PD
Mukilteo PD
Snohomish County Sheriff's Office

Note: The sheriff's office does have an underwater robot. That's a separate story.
