Ballots for the April 23 Mountlake Terrace special election will be mailed to registered voters Thursday.
Ballot drop boxes are open 24 hours a day through 8 p.m. Election Day at the Lynnwood Library, at McCollum Park, at the county courthouse campus in Everett and at locations in Lake Stevens, Monroe and Snohomish.
Voters may leave their ballots at one of the drop boxes, mail the ballots with postmarks before 8 p.m. Election Day or vote in person at an accessible voting unit. Accessible voting units will be open at the county auditor’s office in Everett Mondays through Fridays, April 3-23, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and at the Lynnwood Library on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Proposition No. 1 — Civic Center Bonds
The City Council of the City of Mountlake Terrace adopted Ordinance No. 2610 concerning financing a civic center. If approved, this proposition would authorize the City to issue bonds to construct a new civic center, including a community/senior center, police station, city offices, and library improvements. It would authorize the issuance of not more than $25,000,000 of general obligation bonds maturing within 30 years or less, and authorize the annual levy of excess property taxes to pay and retire such bonds, all as provided in Ordinance 2610. Should this proposition be approved?
