The Seahawks announced they have traded backup quarterback Matt Flynn to the Oakland Raiders. Seattle gets a fifth-round pick in the 2014 draft, as well as a conditional pick in 2015.
That leaves Seattle with only one quarterback on its roster, and in an interview with 710 ESPN Seattle, GM John Schneider said the Seahawks will look at the available free agents, but also at the draft.
It’s likely that the Seahawks will add an inexpensive veteran such as Tyler Thigpen, but still draft a quarterback in the middle to late rounds to compete for the backup job.
