DUVALL — Coupeville and Cedarcrest split a Cascade Conference doubleheader on Monday, with the Wolves taking the first game 6-5 and home Red Wolves winning 20-1 in five innings in the finale.
Kurtis Smith went 3-for-4 in the opener for Coupeville and the Wolves took advantage of six Cedarcrest errors to hand the Red Wolves their first league loss of the season. Colton Sandhofer finished 2-for-4 with two RBI for Cedarcrest.
In the second game, Austin Patsy and Adam Davenport each drove in three runs to help Cedarcrest earn the split. Sandhofer and Sam Ballweg scored four runs apiece.
