“The Full Monty”: OK. We’ll tell you right up front. This show is for adult audiences. Because, yes, there is foul language. And, yes, there is nudity.
That might, in fact, be the point.
The full monty is when you strip bare naked.
This production, based on the 1997 British film, opens tonight at Whidbey Island Center for the Arts in Langley with direction by Elizabeth Herbert, musical direction by Sheila Weidendorf and choreography by Chelsea Randall.
Unemployed, average-looking steelworkers in Buffalo bare it all to get out of debt. Those men are Ken Stephens, Ryan Saenz, Bob Atkinson, Tristan A.B. Steel, Fernando Duran and Cameron Gray.
“The Full Monty” opens at 7:30 tonight at Whidbey Island Center for the Arts, 565 Camano Ave., Langley. The show runs at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays through April 20.

“Jersey Boys”: This is the second tour for this musical about a group of blue-collar kids who went from street punks to the American pop sensation of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.
If you missed this show the first time around, don’t miss it again. The storyline has real poignancy as it looks into the history of this group’s somewhat tainted past. Comedy comes in the form of zinger one-liners delivered in pure Jersey style and tragedy.
This show does contain the soundtrack of our lives with Valli’s angelic baritone singing “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Rag Doll,” “Oh What a Night” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You.”
Playing the Four Seasons are Brandon Andrus as Nick Massi; Colby Foytik as Tommy DeVito; Jason Kappus, a Seattle native who was in the regional productions of “Catch Me if You Can” and “West Side Story,” as Bob Gaudio; and Brad Weinstock as Frankie Valli, who was born and raised in Jersey.
“Jersey Boys” plays at various times through May 4 at The 5th Avenue Theatre, 1308 Fifth Ave., Seattle.
