Nominations for the annual Mayor’s Youth Achievement Award are due April 12. The program honors the accomplishments of youth ages 8-20 who attend school in the Everett area.

Camano walk: Join Friends of Camano Island Parks members on a guided community walk from Cama Beach State Park to Camano Island State Park on Saturday.
Walkers will meet at 9:50 a.m. at Dry Lake Road and Ivy Road, about 1.4 miles from Elger Bay Road. The distance is about 3.3 miles one way. A shuttle will be available for the return trip. The walk is expected to take two hours and will happen rain or shine.

VA records: A free presentation by the Stillaguamish Valley Genealogy Society will detail types of records created by the U.S. Veterans Administration. The event will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Arlington Free Methodist Church, 730 E. Highland Drive, Arlington
Marlene Agnes, retired from years of service to the VA in Seattle, will explain the types of records available, which will be of interest to anyone searching for records of their families who served in the military.
