CASTLE ROCK — A southwest Washington homeowner says an Army explosives squad that checked out a military projectile he found in a shed determined that it contained 15½ pounds of TNT.
Jerry Uhri of Castle Rock tells The Daily News of Longview that he recently bought the property and was cleaning out the shed this week when he found the device — described as two feet long and six inches in diameter.
He called the Cowlitz County sheriff’s office, which notified the Army unit.
He said the bomb squad blew up the item.
