On “The Vampire Diaries,” we get our first look at what could be a spinoff of the popular series. The “pilot” has Klaus (Joseph Morgan) heading for New Orleans on a tip that a cabal of witches is plotting to take him down. 8 p.m., The CW.
Friday
Is this the end for “Happy Endings”? The sitcom closes out its season with back-to-back episodes, the first of which features quest appearances by Megan Mullally and Michael McKean. After that, the “bubble” show faces an uncertain future. 8 p.m., ABC.
Saturday
The amazing new game show, “Bet On Your Baby,” continues as parents challenge their little rugrats to do things like catch a beach ball and make animal sounds. Yes, people. That’s actually a show. 8 p.m., ABC.
