RICHLAND — A woman died Sunday night in a duplex fire in Richland.
Battalion Chief Ted Ricci said neighbors and police tried to rescue the 54-year-old woman as fire engulfed her bedroom but they were unable to reach her.
The Tri-City Herald reported that residents on the other side of the duplex safely escaped.
The fire was reported by a neighbor walking a dog.
