Seahawks trade back in second round

For the fourth time in as many years under Pete Carroll and John Schneider, the Seahawks have moved back from their original second-round pick.

This time Seattle has moved pick No. 56 to Baltimore, getting back the last pick of the second-round (62), a fifth-round pick (165) and a sixth (199). The Ravens used that pick on a player a lot of people thought might have been a fit in Seattle, outside linebacker Arthur Brown.

In 2010, Schneider and Carroll's first draft in Seattle, the Seahawks moved from pick No. 40 to 60 as part of the trade that brought Charlie Whitehurst to Seattle. In 2011 the Seahawks traded out of the second round all together, getting, amongst other things, the third they used on John Moffitt and the fifth-round pick that they turned into Richard Sherman. Last year, the Seahawks moved back four spots in the second round, getting a fifth and seventh-round pick and taking Bobby Wagner with pick No. 47.

It's also probably worth noting that the Seahawks, who have found Kam Chancellor and Richard Sherman in the fifth round, now have three fifth-round picks Saturday.
