Seattle cookbook author Erin Coopey will sign copies of her book “The Kitchen Pantry Cookbook” from 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 14 at J. Matheson Gifts, Kitchen and Gourmet in Everett.
Coopey’s book covers making your own “condiments and essentials,” like mayonnaise, ketchup, salad dressing and mustard. The book contains clear instructions, beautiful pictures and loads of tips and techniques.
“The Kitchen Pantry Cookbook” will sell for $24.99 and patrons will receive a 20 percent discount on other purchases during the signing.

Nativity festival: Hundreds of nativity scenes from around the world, a live nativity scene and live musical performances mark the Arlington Festival of the Nativities, running 6-9 p.m. Dec. 12-13 and 3-8:30 p.m. Dec. 14-15.
The nondenominational event is hosted at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 17222 43rd Ave. NE, Arlington.
