Coastal Community Bank has hired Robin Reinig to be a vice president and branch manager of the newest branch, in Smokey Point. Reinig has extensive experience banking in Snohomish County and started her banking career with SeaFirst Bank. She has been active with the Smokey Point Chamber and the Arlington Rotary Club.

Edmonds Community College has two new deans, Andy Williams and Elliot Stern. Williams was named dean for the Business Division, a position he held on an interim basis since 2011. Stern, the new dean of the Natural Sciences and Mathematics Division, is presently interim dean for Health Science and Public Safety at Everett Community College.

United Way of Snohomish County has hired Kristi Cuddy to be donor relations manager, with a focus on financial services, insurance and schools. She attended the University of Idaho and her background includes work in business operations and law enforcement. She lives in Stanwood with her husband and dog.

Local photographer Jared M. Burns has been asked by the Snohomish wedding community to provide live social-media coverage of the annual Snohomish Wedding Tour on June 2. Burns offers wedding, senior and lifestyle portraits at his studio in downtown Snohomish.

Keller Williams Realty in Everett has hired several new agents this year. Agents who have joined from other firms are Sandy Dinsmore, Katie Lee, Kristine Niemi, Gayle Picken and Gideon Sylvan. Six new agents starting their careers with the firm are Sarah Ashwood, Adam Gardulski, Joseph Simmons, Chad Slayton, Sukhi Sohi and Pamela Taylor.

James Kellett, a Everett financial advisor for the financial-services firm Edward Jones, recently met with legislators in Washington, D.C., to seek legislation to increase savings and enhance retirement security. Kellett was one of 51 financial advisors chosen from among the firm’s nearly 12,000 to lobby on behalf of individual investors.

Six Western Washington University students, including Matthew Tygert of Snohomish, were chosen to participate in a College of Business and Economics Leadership Lunch event in Bellevue on April 12. Students met with the business leaders to discuss topics concerning organizational leadership and career development.

Kudos

The Center of Distinction Award was given to the Cascade Valley Hospital’s Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Center by Healogics, a provider of advanced wound-care services. The Center has achieved outstanding patient outcomes for 12 consecutive months, including patient satisfaction of more than 92 percent and a 91 percent wound-healing rate within 30 median days to heal.

Greenpoint Technologies, a VIP completions center for Boeing Business Jets, received a Silver Boeing Performance Excellence Award at a ceremony on April 18. Greenpoint supplies interior products to Boeing for U.S. Air Force programs and is in the top 11 percent of Boeing’s rated suppliers.

For the second consecutive year, Banner Bank received the highest ranking in retail banking customer satisfaction in the Northwest in J.D. Power and Associates 2013 Retail Banking Satisfaction Study.

Events

The monthly “Getting Your Dough to Rise” program on KSER-FM (90.7) is from 6 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Retired Seattle Times business columnist Greg Heberlein joins host Chuck Noel. Also on the show: Forbes magazine columnist and Fisher Investments founder Ken Fisher and Seattle investment advisor Eric Smith.

In honor of National Marina Day, the Port of Everett is planning a family-fun event between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on June 8. It will include a community boat show, limited boat rides, music, food, booths and seminars. Check the Port’s website for more information on the event or follow on Facebook or Twitter.

The 11th annual Puppy Putt motorcycle ride to benefit Guide Dogs of America will be July 13 at locations around Puget Sound, including Sound Harley-Davidson in Marysville. Snohomish County and Housing Hope will continue an ongoing series of classes designed to help nonprofits survive tough economic times. Washington Banking Co., the holding company for Whidbey Island Bank, announced that the board of directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.15 per common share to shareholders of record on May 6. It is payable on May 20. Washington Banking also announced 2013 first quarter results, reporting net income of $4.6 million, or $0.30 per diluted common share.
